non-OBS !

Wow first post this year hehe :>
Well anyway it's already going to be a new new year - Chinese New Year! :D get it?? *lame pun* forgive me hahaha

Anyway last week our cohort had gone for a 5D4N camp aaaand I didn't go. It was due to a couple reasons (I was supposed to go at first) but I'm sick of explaining already haha.

But alas the school was smart. They know if those who are not going (confirm got a few right) no need come school during that week more people will purposely pon XD So yeah, we did CIP!

Actually it was pretty fun ;) We had no lessons and the volunteering was a bit tiring but really fruitful! For the first day, my group (split into 2 cuz got like 70+ people) went shopping. lol. But it was to buy stuff for goody bags which we were gonna hand out to elderly residents the next day :D

We were split into smaller teams of 3, and everyone had 2 "recipients". We gave them angbaos too you know, from our own money;)

For the next 3 days, our group went to the Willing Hearts soup kitchen! They are a non-profit organisation which provide almost 3000 free meals daily for those who can't afford it, like elderly. Personally, I felt it was really great to work there.

I tried a lot of different work! It was kinda tiring though T.T And I really admired the volunteers who help out! Some of the jobs I did:

• Cutting/chopping vegetables
• Pea podding (this sucked the most)
• Washing/cleaning
• Whole bunch of other miscellaneous stuff
• Couple of small jobs (or didn't take too long to do)

I hated the pea podding the MOST D: I probably sound like an ungrateful brat but yeah. Me & my other friend S had to do it for like hours!! Imagine 3-4 hours just doing that (break in between larh). We had to like peel off the skin(?) then put the seeds in a basket. It's used to boil soup~ o_o can't remember the name :b There were some rotten or like "leaking" :/ And the smell was weird (to me) in a way.. Made me lose most of my appetite.

It was because the stuff we did were a bit like..hmmph, sorta like mass production? As in you finish doing everything at once ah. So example like finish cutting up all the lettuce in that day.

piece of cake you say? Nahhh

And on Friday the OBS people returned & there was Sec 1 campfire that evening too! So I stayed back to see the 2/1 people + the campfire and it was tons of fun ;) 

But anyway I was treating it as a break from lessons & studying XD And already there's another break (^.^)/~


Sec 3 life is tough ): There's more hw (what did I expect) and the school hours are longer as well T.T And when the sec 4s step down we'll be in charge of the CCA stuff eeks! But yeah already CAs are in 2 weeks (wts so early), and all the teachers keep emphasising studying & revising ><"
I know it's important larh, but I don't want become those type of people who become so stressed about it. Also there's alot of (young) adults who tell me that they miss sec sch life and all. So yeah, when I look back I wanna remember all the good times too (':
Still sorta awkward with my class (haha oops) but they're a nice bunch & I've talked to some of them (:

Also, I wanna change my url. :P And again blogging frequency depends :/
